CSUF 2020 Graduate
There's something to be said about those who persevere during hard times. When I learned of Evelyn's story, I couldn't help to feel so so proud of her. She graduated college during a pandemic and she did it all through the constant pain of losing her mama. She decorated her cap with the cutest faithful verse and hung picture of her mama right next to her tassel of success. I knew I needed to capture this in a special way and make it another tangible memory for her to hang on to, forever. Her mom might not be there in person, but just like the picture on her tassel she will always be there in some way.
It seemed like Evelyn was a model but truth is she was just a total natural and this was her second time doing senior photos. Her aunt found me after they were unhappy with the graduation photos from another photographer, and she just had to have better for her niece. Sometimes its hard to see that you're making a difference, but after this session I knew for a fact that this photography work that I love doing, its not just a job, its exactly what I was meant to do.
